  • Photosynthesis 10/400 Saint Asaph Street Christchurch, Canterbury, 8011 New Zealand (map)

Studio photography opens up opportunities for fine art that pushes beyond the limits of ambient light. Complete control of light, environment, camera settings: but where to start?

Studio 101 is a 1.5 hour workshop teaching the basics of using a photography studio. Learn about common equipment, what types of lights and modifiers to use for different projects, how to construct multi-light set-ups, and more.

This hands-on course will see you experimenting in real-time, trialling ideas and answering your questions. You will leave the workshop understanding how to take images of subjects using basic strobe and continuous lighting set-ups.

Spaces are limited to 8 participants to maintain hands-on interactivity.

Build your confidence and give yourself a strong foundation as you enter the world of studio photography and all of its possibilities.
