Submissions open to all artists: age or experience
Open to all still art forms (prints, zines, books…) and processes using light (photographs, video frames, anthotypes, solargraphs, …)
Unthemed and open to all visual stories

Notification of selection
Submission | 15 December 2025 - 15 January 2026
Submit up to three works for the show. Provide representative images and descriptions of the work for selection. Proposed mounting / display stated. Work made be sold with only 10% commission.
Maximum size: A2 [420 x 600 millimeters (mm)] including frame. Work will only be rejected if deemed hateful, pornographic or otherwise unreasonably objectionable. Basic supplies for mounting will be available (e.g.: picture hanging hooks, picture railing hooks, fishing line, magnets, clips) and display areas (tables, walls). Additional supplies at the cost of the artist.
Exhibition Prints Printing Sessions | January 2026
Meet with Photosynthesis volunteers and be guided through making fine art prints for submission into this exhibition using our digital workspace and Epson P906 printer. Book here.
Notification of Selection | 18 January 2026
The curation panel for this exhibition will meet on 16/17 January 2026 and select the work for the exhibition. Every artist will have at least one piece. Recommendations for installation will be made by the panel for arrangement by the artist.
Installation | 30/31 January 2026 and 1 February 2026
The final two days of January will see the install of all of the work, ready for the launch.
Opening | 6PM Sunday 1 February 2026
The new Photosynthesis building will open with the opening of Open
Run of Exhibition | 2 February 2026 to 17 February 2026
The exhibition will be staffed by volunteers. The de-installation will be done on 17 February ready for collection.
